一大早就有人在Q群里发”谷歌抢得baidu.com.sb域名”\”谷歌已经注册baidu.com.sb域名，并且转向了谷歌网站。我点开这个域名链接，果然跳向了谷歌网站。” ，其实只要稍微思考就知道这只是一个恶搞的行为的，但是有人立刻发出 sina 凤凰网 等出处链接。仔细看了下新闻内容，真的是连基础知识都不懂就写了新闻，只是为了踢google一脚吗？
新闻混淆了域名所有者和域名所指向的IP的所有者2个概念，当然大众可能并不熟悉这些概念的，但是记者发这样的新闻明显是没有经过专业人士验证的。
我们来查询下baidu.com.sb的whois信息：

明显的这个baidu.com.sb只是一个新注册的Solomon Islands国别后缀的域名,注册代理机构是：Registrar: Key-Systems ，注册时间：27 Mar 2010 ，使用了dnspod的dns解析服务。
Google的域名基本是使用google自己的dns服务的，就算是不使用自己的，应该也不会使用一个中国大陆的免费dns来指向到自己的ip。
综上，这个只是一个普通的域名注册者把域名指向了域名潜在购买者的竞争者的常见行为。
任何域名的管理者都可以修改自己的域名解析记录指向任何IP，IP的所有者和域名的所有者并不一定需要有任何关联的。
另：baidu.net baidu.com.tw也都是网友持有并且也有曾经指向google的。

互联网巨头之间总是有快意江湖故事，2010年5月7日晚，有网友向新民网记者爆料：“google抢注了百度的域名，还是带sb的”。
根据网友描述，新民网记者登陆了“涉嫌”抢注的域名www.baidu.com.sb，该页面迅速指向google的全球页面http://www.google.com/，记者随即查证到，www.baidu.com.sb的IP指向： 64.233.189.104，按照公开数据，为美国加利福尼亚州山景市谷歌公司所在地。而通过全球域名管理机构ICANN查询，sb域名是所罗门群岛国家顶级域名。另外新民网记者也注意到google还持有www.google.com.sb域名。
在中国大陆网络文化中，有网友经常把北京方言中的一句骂人话简化成：“SB”，有网友据此调侃此事，称google此举是在骂百度，但也有资深域名专家向新民网记者称，“SB”仅仅是一个国际顶级域名，google抢注baidu.com.sb应该是出于商业考量。
而据此间不愿具名的知识产权律师向新民网记者介绍，近年，企业之间的域名争议诉讼越来越多，如美国杜邦公司就dupont.com.cn域名诉北京国网公司案件，最后北京法院判处后者撤销域名注册。该律师称，百度如就google此举进行诉讼，胜诉的可能性较大。
